Not because I care about this country or you, my fellow Americans. Mostly I want the 3-day work week (Mon. and Fri. are travel days...on a taxpayer-supplied Gulfstream, if my staffers can help it). I could also use the 4:1 vacation day ratio that members enjoy over the rest of us schmucks. I may praise or badmouth public healthcare, depending on who makes the most campaign contributions or buys me the best dinners this month, but no matter what, I'll sure enjoy the gold-plated health plan and access to Bethesda Naval Medical Center. (They do, BTW, allow civilians...to work there! Maybe one of the doctors - once done looking at my enlarged prostate - can give you some "free" advice about that funny looking growth on arm that won't go away). What I really want to know is where is the liquor lobby?
