Just to say u guys I'm back, been away with work a lot but still haven't lost the passion for my 222, just knocked a fox off at 290yrds withe wind speed 24mph right to left, so if there is a man woman or beast alive with a better shot under the circumstances let me know...

I have a gun that shoots these special bullets using c4 as propellant, no gun powder.  At 1 mile, there is no drop, no drop!

I fired one shot at a match to light it and another shot at the match to put it out - and hit both times - but of course at a mile the match wasn't where it was for the first shot where it was for the second shot because, you know, the earth spins. Corona Effect, it is called.  And Corona with Lime is something else entirely. Don't confuse 'em.

By circumstances, do you mean wind in excess of 20MPH?  Anything else?  Freezing rain, shooting offhand, wearing someone else's eyeglasses, jumping rope while shooting?  Because this one time...

Welcome back, congrats on the fox.  My wife wants me to shoot several foxes, wants a coat.  Hella cheaper to get it that way than to buy one.

Once on a muzzle loader deer hunt, my dad lobbed a shot at a yote way out that was moving, not running, but trotting a bit.  He had a 1x shotgun scope.  The wind was blowing a bit, but not bad.  After the shot I ranged it, 276 yards IIRC.  Pure luck on his part, but it was awesome none the less.

Last year I made a standing shot on a doe at 325yds with a 7mm-08.  My rest was a monopod.  Double lung right behind the shoulder with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x with plex reticle.  Pure holdover.  Does that count?
