If you plan on doing night or twilight hunting it's almost a must!If you want or don't need to spend the big bucks take a look at the Trijicons in the green.To answer the question it comes down to taste & test.Check them out before you purchase.Remember your also adding weight,another knob & always carry extra batteries.
