I just purchased my AR and am waiting for it to arrive but in the meantime I'm looking around for a well performing, good priced scope. I ran across the Burris Prism and the price is great in my book but I wanted to get some info from guys who have had more time around these things than I have. I'm new to the forum, and the help would me much appreciated. Thanks.

My understanding is that Burris screwed the pooch on the optic in question. There have been many a report regarding canted reticles and just sloppy QC in general. Now, much of the fuss has died down so maybe Burris put things right. But it sure made a lot of folks spend their $$$ with other manufactures...myself included.

Yea I read where a guy who had bought one of these had the hardest time sighting in because with the slightest movement the reticle would move also. I liked the price on it and it looked to be good quality I just don't know where else to look for something of the same price range. Any Ideas?

Check out the Sample List here on this site. You can pick up an IOR 4x24 for under $400.00. You'll need a mount/rings but it may be a good way to go. I might pick one up myself.
