I have had a bushnell H20 20-60x60 for a while and it has been fine for just finding your target, but I am looking for something that will be ALOT clearer than that piece of trash, for lack of better words. If at all possible I would like to keep it under 1000$ which automaticly takes swarovski, Zeiss, and leica out of the question.  But if they are really do make the difference like that between a leupold VX-I and a S&B Zenith; I can wait a few more months if you understand what I'm getting at.

Otherwise I have got a few possabilities

Bushnell 20-60x80 elite<(the price lured me in again)

Leupold gold ring 12-40x60

Kowa TSN-820M 82mm body w/ 32x eye

I am open to any suggestions, I just don't want to spend this much without getting some personal advise.

The best $1000 scopes are Nikon Fieldscope ED and Pentax ED, in  60 mm and 65 mm configuration.

SWFA has Nikon ED 60 mm bodies for $800, and eyepieces for $230 or so (i would get the 24x or 30x wide angle eyepiece, they are always nicer than the zoom, this is true for any eyepiece)

The 65 mm Pentax ED really good. Again, i would buy the ED body and a XW 14 eyepiece (28x with the 65mm scope) series, but the Pentax zooms are really good.

These two scopes are as good as any German or Austrian ones.

I wold get the Pentax, it costs a bit less and it is awesome. But make sure that you get a good eyepiece for it, and good eyepieces are $300.
