All of the scopes mentioned here and in the other 30.30 thread are good choices.
I would like to add a quality fixed 4X to the mix. The Leupold 4X is a nice light scope that has good optics. http://www.swfa.com/pc-3613-94-leupold-4x33-fx-ii-riflescope.aspx The Weaver 4X has very good optics, too. http://www.swfa.com/pc-5163-860-weaver-4x38-classic-k4-series-rifle-scope.aspx Both are light weight and small enough not to affect the handling of a trim gun. I have hunted close range in the woods with a fixed 4X for years and had no problem shooting an eight pointer @ 25 yds with it. Edited for scope size, I initially compared the Leo to the Weaver rimfire. The Leo is smaller. Edited by tahqua - August/24/2008 at 09:06 |
