With the demise of LTM Refinishing and the problems associated with painting your own gun, I found (and like) hydro printing.

With this, you get many intricate patterns to choose from, and seem to have good durability - time will tell.

Best of all, the price is reasonable, about $100 for a rifle stock.

More later, but if you need a stock or rifle refinished, I'd look at this.

There is a place here in Va. that 'dips' guns, they used to be real affordable, but now I think they charge $300 plus...I'll have to check these guys out.

"Dipping" and hydro printing is the same process.  The part to be finished is passed through a water soluble ink film floating on top of water where the film is transfered onto the surface of the part.  A clear coat is then applied over the film dipped surface for long-term durability of the finish.  This is how the camo is applied to most camouflaged sporting goods, i.e. compound bows.  There is another process called "ColorFusion" which is a heat transfer process.

Looking good, there, Jeff!Thunbs Up

These are the guys that did it.  I sent it out the Monday for Christmas and got it back today.

Customer Service is good, and the options are many.

I'd give you $100 for that! Very nice looking stick, I'd tell you I'm turning green with envy, but with my colorblindness, it's kind of hard to tell.

Ol' girl shoots about 1/2MOA out past 600 yards, she's a shooter.

I like the pattern.

When the zombie apacolypse comes, it probably won't make a difference (the camo pattern) but till then, it looks cool and it is mine and no one has one just like it.

I recommend hydro dipping for those who want something unique and reasonably tough.

That is really great. I wanted some similiar pattern on my rifle, but we do not have this available in South Africa, so I had to settle for second best.
Really cool man!!!
