I have a huskemaw scope. I am not here to open a can of worms like i did earlier. Which wasn't my idea. However, I love my huskemaw scope. Can shoot 500 plus big game with a clean shot. However, I want to know peoples thoughts on huskemaw and why would I want to go to another scope. Please people do not start to bash Huskemaw or any of the other scopes. I just want to know whats better to other scope and to have a clean educated conversation.

It is probably just the same as any other brand that came out of that Asian factory with those same parts.

The question that is hard to answer, which of those same parts show up for more or less money on a zillion other brands made there.

Unless I miss my guess, Huskemaw scopes have more price mark up between the factory and the consumer than that average scope.

I base that on who is selling them and who is not selling them.

I have 2 Huskemaw's and they have done very well, I have shot deer with my 6.5x284 @698 yards with one shot, @ 900 yds it holds a 3  3/4"  3 shot group. I have another one on my 300 win.  that does a 7"group. scopes are clear and does what they say they do. I can not be more pleased. I do not think the scope is better than any other scope, but is does do a lot more. Thats why it cost more.

I have had one for about 4 years.
My complaint with them is the lack internal MOA in the windage.
I use my scopes for other types of LR shooting other than hunting.
If you like the optic and want another scope, then, get it.
500 yards is more of a medium range.
Other optics companies have ballistic turrets like Huskemaw.
I like a good MOA reticle myself.
Part of it comes down to preference.

My issue with their wares is 2-fold:

1.  Their marketing leads idiots to believe any rifle and any shooter (with their scope) can hunt long range, and that simply is not the case.

I've read countless lies online about a shooter's abilities with a Huskemaw scope.  Having shot long distance and having hunted for a long time, I can say with confidence that only a very few should hunt long range, and Huskemaw says differently.
In the end, theirs is not a novel scope, as Ernie points out.

2.  If one wants to learn to shoot long range, there are better options for the $$.  And by "learn to shoot long range", I do not mean spin a magical turret, aim dead on, and kill an animal far, far away.

The simple reality is this: at 900 yards, a poor wind call equals a miss or a wounded and suffering animal.  The Huskemaw magical scope doesn't make a shooter pull the trigger correctly, it doesn't make a shooter use good basic marksmanship skills, it doesn't replace exceedingly perishable skills likes wind calling, and it does not make a hunting rifle into a tack-driving, 1/3MOA ubershooter.

In closing, I am very, very much against any product that gives confidence to someone who has not earned the confidence themselves.

Huskemaw sells over-confidence.

My confidence comes from having put thousands of rounds down range in varying conditions, and I still don't take shots that Huskemaw says "anyone" can take - with their scope.

I don't like any scope with a reticle or turrets tailored to one load. Not only is that a huge restriction but it also ignores that even for one load ballistics will change with air density. Air density can vary significantly, especially at long range. Change the altitude, temperature or barometric pressure and your POI will change with it.

These scopes don't seem hugely overpriced but there's no mention whether they're FFP. So I'd have to assume SFP, which is another detraction for scopes with mag ranges over 10X. Also, in addition to the hype over making long range shots without the knowledge and practice that Rancid Coolaid mentioned, they make claims on their website like "These optics have the highest grade multi-coated lenses available." Sorry, not for the advertised prices.
