I am interested in the attibutes of a hunting scope (high power rifle) that you think are most important in outfitting your rifle.  I see many of these in advertisements.  I thought I set this up to allow multiple choice - sorry you have to select the ONE most important attribute!

Thanks for your input and comments!

While I understand where you are coming from with this question, as I have pondered it myself, I think the results, whatever they may be, will ultimateley answer nothing.

This is because in order to give only one attribute recognition, you sort of have to ignore the others, and that just doesn't work when dealing with optics. For instance, suppose you decide to choose ruggedness as your most important feature. If you then bought a bulletproof scope that you couldn't see through, you would find it to be worthless. By the same token, a clear, bright, high-resolution scope that falls to the ground in 112 pieces the first time you fire the rifle on which it's mounted, is no better. A useful optic must have most of your listed  attributes to some degree, and when all of them are kind of at the same level within a unit, you probably have something of value, at a given price point. Just my ramblings...

agree with ronk - survey is a wash-- one issue voter- pick the worst of the evils (glass is the best of the bunch but still not what I want etc).

at least need a weighted average-- on a scale of 1 to 10 how do you rate glass, etc, then add them up by catagory- highest number wins and I bet some very suprizing results.

your poll would work well for contingency analysis however---( 0% possiblity the next voter would pick reputation)
