Gosh, Dale, you must have one of those March scopes for target shooting! I think that they are in the $4000 range. --Ed

I almost only use top end scopes, but I very rarely pay over 600 dollars for them.
I use the oppertunities and almost never buy anything new.

Well there is quite a difference in what I paid for them and what the retail value may be but here goes (only listing the ones on rifles, not the drawer full of old Redfields and Simmons take offs)
$0 - $400 - None (unless a $200.00 Sightron red dot on an AR15 counts)
$400 - $600 - One, Conquest 3x9x50
$600 - $800 - Three, Burris Black Diamond 4x16x50, Kahles AH 3.5x10x50 and Conquest 4.5x14x44
$800 - $1000 - Two, bought both my Kahles CL 4x12x52 MZ's off Gunbroker for $800.00 ea + shipping
$1000 - $1500 - One, Zeiss Diavari 2.5x10x50 (but that one was a present )
Normally now I expect to pay $600.00 to $700.00 for a scope worth keeping unless it is one of the smaller Conquests. The best scope I have is the Conquest 4.5x14x44 RapidZ 800 and I don't think you could have a better scope no matter what you pay.

I bought 2 scopes in the past 2 years and they are a Conquest 6.5-20X50 Mdot and a Swaro PH SR 3-12X50 TDS. I will continue to buy scopes in this price range. |

one year ago I would have said less than $300, after buying a Zeiss for $800 I would definitely buy scopes in this price range again. Maybe only in the 4-600 range due to lower power, or smaller scopes. I will definitely buy glass of this quality
