I haven't been able to find out the max adjustment capability listed anywhere for the SWFA 10 power fixed scope.
I'm mounting it on a 300 Winchester magnumn and was hoping to zero at 300 yards. However looking at the balistics tables I notice that if I wanted to make a shot at 1000 yards that the bullet drop is another 353 inches form my 300 yard zero. That's 9 mils to adjust or 30.75 MOA. Will the SWFA Fixed 10 power scope be able to do this? I'm just wondering.Hippie

With an anticipated 300 yard zero, I would put the scope on a 20 MOA base, that'll get 6 mils back that would otherwise be wasted.

This, of course, makes a few assumptions.

300WM is my favorite caliber, great choice.

Thanks guys. That's good to know. So.. Rancid, I've purchased the
Remington 19729 Rifle 783 Scope Mount High.
to mount the scope on my brand new Remington model 783.
My question, when you say you would put the scope on a 20 mill base, do you mean to put a shim under the scope base? it's a round reciever so I don't know if that would be very easy.  So I'm thinking I should try it out without the shim ( if that's what you're talking about) and see how that works first. I'm hoping it may be a non-exsisting problum.
But , if I'm way off about what you mean by a 20 mil base, please enlighten me.Smoking

Super tool, just wondering where you found that info. and now am wondering if that's 30 mils in each direction  with a total of 60? or is it 30 total?

You dont want to shim. By a 20 moa picatinny 1 piece base and 30mm rings that will attach to it. Look at Egw for a base and SWFA Ss for rings if u wannao stay on a lower budget

Don't shim. With the mounts you are using, go with it.

Let us know how it goes.
