Are they worth the money? For terrestrial use and astronomy?
Over the years SkyMaster giant binoculars have been notorious for collimation problems.
(Numerous purchasers have had to return these).
Prism mounts in cheap binoculars leave alot to be desired when it comes to keeping a giant binocular collimated over its lifetime.
The Celestron SkyMasters are in the same cheap Chinese catagory as Zhumell and Barska and others.
IF you order one, just make sure that you order it from a dealer who offers 100% satisfaction guarantee and who will cover the cost of return shipping.
IF you get a good one, they are alot of fun to use for stargazing, and birding, and wildlife viewing.
One MAJOR concern is the fact that you MUST mount it on a tripod with a 2 way pan head, and, the cost of the tripod with pan head can very easily exceed the cost of the giant binocular.
Any and all 20x binoculars will require a tripod.
