I am not a big stainless fan, but that is one beautiful rifle. I am a big fan of the Abolt. I own three of them and really like them.

I kinda like the two tone look of the silver conquest. But if you don't like it then don't get it. It will be your gun not ours.

Great rifle, I like my Conquest and I love my Brownings. (Three & counting)

I think a black scope looks great on a Stainless rifle if it's sporting a synthetic stock. I think I would've went with a Stainless scope on this particular rifle though. Just because of the wood stock. Regardless of how you go, you've got some great equipment and after all it's yours.

Black all the way, IMO it would have been too much silver or flash whatever you wanna call it.  I have a 300 weatherby in the Alaskan edition that has a nickel plated barrel and the such topped with a Leupold VXIII in black I like it that way.

Ditto for the black Zeiss. One suggestion, though, if you hunt in wet conditions I would seal the entire stocked bedding area of any wood stocked rifle to prevent any warping/point of impact issues than could very well occur from season to season. That said, you have a winner and that's comming from a die hard Remington 700 man.
