I have a question for you. I'm interested in knowing if you were going to buy a scope and willing to spend up to 600.00 and wanted a up to18- 24 power variable what would be your top 3 picks for a center fire? taking into consideration clairity, good in low light situations, quick target acquiring and holding zero
this question only applies if you are a avid hunter/ shooter

I vote for the Bushnell elite 4200 6-24x40.  I've got one on my varmint AR.  Also highly recommended on this board and a little cheaper are the Burris Fullfield II and Nikon Buckmaster.

Welcome to The OT!!

I personally think this scope has too much power, but if your shooting small varmints, then you may like the added power.

This scope also comes in a 5.5-16.5x44mm version, but you'd have to go with a more standardized duplex reticle. The Niko-Plex it's called.

Good luck and stick around!!!

I'd also vote for the Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40.

What rifle is this going on? what will you be shooting at?

ILya

Model 70 coyote lite 22-250.

Cheeptrick it wears a monarch 4-12 now. I have considered the higher powered monarch but Im either wanting a mildot or fine with dot. I wish There was a better picture of the new bdc reticle.

on power some like it low and some like it high. Ive had both and I'm a higher power person.

on the bushnells I have only looked through the cheaper ones and never a elite. so I'm scared to spend my money on a elite!

I also need a recommendation on some bullet proof mounts/rings for a win.70

Another question I have is if anyone at swfa is listening is I live fairly close to swfa and I once drove down and purchased a scope in person. is it possible to do so again so that I can look thru three or four scopes before buying?
