Hello members,
My name is Steve I live in North Wales UK. I've been using rifle scopes for many years, on full bore but now mainly target and hunting air rifle use. I thought it was time I joined a forum such as this as I occasionally require info / help with my optics, I have some experience also which my be of help to someone else at some point, not much mind but some. Smile

To my question.

I've recently bought a Burris FF E1 3-9 x 40 for use on my hunting air rifle.
I must admit for the price the optics IMO are excellent.
I would like to try and adjust parallax for the ranges I use. 25 - 50yrds, so it's really needs to be set around the 43yrd mark. I have noticed left right POI change at 30 yrds, I use a Bisley extension tube but still find it hard to align my eye perfectly consistently every time. The locking ring is thread locked and I guess I'm going to have to apply heat to free it. I've only adjusted one non AO scope in the past and I could free the locking ring without heat. If I can free it ok the lens has to go forward of course but will I be able to do that by just turning the lens, I see no other ring under the locking ring but I do see one just under on the inside?

Looking for advice, if I send it away it's likely to take 6 weeks and I'd rather not be without it that long.

Cheers!
Steve.

My advise would be to shoot Burris an e-mail. Or post the question down in the rimfire/airgun section.

Hi Thank you for the welcome.
It needs to go to Finland, about 6 weeks as I said. My question was asking for advice regarding adjusting the parallax and if anyone has experience doing this on a Burris of this type or similar.
I will copy my question and ask where you suggest.
