Just like to say hello to you guys.

I live in England and I have found this forum to be both entertaining and very informative.

I have had a couple of scopes that have come from SWFA in the past, yet sadly now it appears

that SWFA will not post to the UK  anyone know why? I guess the mods here might tell me.

I know there was talk of proscecutions against USA companies exporting tactical equipment, but

there are several US suppliers who will export scopes to the UK sadly few with the stock and reputation

for customer service delivery built by SWFA.

Thanks anyway and I look forward to talking to you in the future

Our "U.S. only" policy came about for several reason.  The first reason was an insane amount of credit card fraud from International orders and we have to eat every single one of them......not the credit card company.  Second was the lack of participation by International banks in the address verification part of the credit card approval.  Third was packages getting lost or damaged (routinely) and having to fight for months to get paid from the insurance.  Fourth was International customers continuously asking for us to lie on the customs form so they would not have to pay duty and taxes, then getting mad because we would not break the law.  If we declare a $1000.00 scope to be worth $72.00....guess how much we get paid when it gets lost or stolen???  Fifth was International customers getting very upset of what the actual shipping charges were costing on high value shipments.  Sixth was the United States Department of Defense's minimum 10 million dollar fine if we ship any optic that the military buys (and there's a bunch of them).  We weighed the positives vs. the negatives vs. how much International business we did, and decided to stop all International shipments.  I hope you understand.

10 millions-that sucks. I think that american optics (Burris,Weaver...)should have represenative in Europe because there are many hunters around here that want quality optics and mounts and are not willing to pay for Swaro,Zeiss...

Do you do bussines with companies from across the pond?

Thanks for the heads up Chris.

I can understand your reluctance to export under those circumstances I don't suppose members here could get an exemption?

If you are referring to the Super Sniper scopes, we are the manufacturer and only source.  It is against Federal law to export them because they have a U.S. Military contract NSN# and are currently sold to the U.S. Military.

Guess you will just have to move to the U.S.

P>S>  if you move to most states you can own and carry a pistol too - try that in the UK.

You can own Pistols but they have to have 12" barrels  As for moving to the US well I would love to though I doubt you let immigrants own pistols right away
