...I know that I previously mentioned how impressed I am with the clarity of glass from a Nightforce 56mm scope.  Well, due to circumstances beyond my control, I'll be holding off on the Nightforce and will be mounting a new IOR 6x24 50mm scope with 35mm tube & illuminated MP8 reticle tomorrow.  To make a long story short, I had a warranty issue with my 6x24 IOR and had to go with the new 35mm illuminated model.

Anybody have any experience with this model?  Thoughts/reviews as to how it stacks up with comparative varmint/target scopes (Zeiss, Mark 4, Nightforce NXS, etc.)?

Hello Ceylonc

I just recieved my new Leupold ILR M1 Metric Mil-Dot today and the Nightforce NXS

should be here any day now. I will be doing a comparison and review on these

two scopes in the near future. So far this New M1 Metric looks great and I got a

exellent deal. I am anxiously awaiting the NXS, the one I had handled in the past

was absoultly brilliant. As far as the new IOR 35MM go I have heard nothing but praise

so far, have not seen or handled one in person yet but the feedback is exellent.

Koshkin and Longbow 308 own the IOR 35's and are very pleased. Lets post some

pics and reviews when we get the chance Ceylonc.

I forgot to mention that the reason for getting this Leupold model is because

Metric is something new that I want to learn and is a highly recomended system

for using the Mil-Dot reticle to its full potential. I also got a great deal, there

is no way I would have bought this scope at the regular price.
