Wow! I've been a member for several months, but didn't know we had a food forum here.
The wife & I came up with a couple of recipes ourselves that I'll share with you. Try'em out, and tell us what you think.

"Ultimate oil & vinegar marinade"
4 ozs olive oil
4 ozs cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cilantro
1/4 tsp tarragon
1/4 tsp dry mustard
Add dry ingrediants together in mortar and grind/mix in pestel.
Add the fine powder to oil & vinegar. Mix well. Great on anything.

Venison jerky
1-16 oz bottle Moores Marinade or Dales
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbs black pepper
1 tbs cayenn pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Mix ingrediants together in boiler & bring to a boil. Turn off and add venison strips. Refrigerate for 24 hrs or longer. Dehydrate 5-6 hrs. Put in ziploc bags and refrigerate.
The key to good jerky is the sweetness and the peppery taste, so you may want to adjust a little as desired. No need for salt, your Moores or Dales will have plenty.
