Are you asking for your 100 yd zero to make 250-300yd shots?

I myself would put a lower powered scope on it, but to each his own, I guess. I zero for 200 yards, and then 300 is just holding a little high on deer size game.

With that speed, I would sight in at 300 yds.  Then you can hold dead on out to about 400 and be in the kill zone.  At 500 hold above the back and you should be fine.

I like to sight my rifles in so I can hold dead on from 50 yards out to whatever, as long as I don't go more than 3" high at 100.  With my 30-06, that's out to about 250 yds.  If I was to try and get it to be on out to 300 yards, it would be like 6" high at 100 and I would have to aim "low" at 100 and I don't want to do that.

So figure out which distance will still keep you around 3" high at 100 and you'll be good to go.  Hope that makes sense!

The .264 is by far an excellent long range caliber for the "deer" sized critter.  Definitely site it in @ 3" HIGH AT 100 YDS.
This weapon can easily kill out to 800 yards. Rest is up to the shooter.
Good luck!

   Here's from Noslers #4 manual:
       120gr Ballitic Tip(bc=.46)@3200fps w/24'bbl @ 300yd zero
           100yd= +3.1"
           200yd= +3.8"
           300yd=  0
           400yd= -9.1"
           500yd= -24.3"

  Here's how I'd sight it in:
            100yd= +2.25"
            200yd= +2"
            300yd= -2.75"
            400yd= -12.8"
            500yd= -29"

 I don't like my bullet over 3" high out to wher it starts its drop.

I'd also sight in at 2"-2-1/2" high at 100 yds and then if availabe do some shooting at 250-300 yds out for practice and confidence.

i shoot a .264 m700cdl, and i love it! damn thing is wicked accurate out of the box. i use a 3x9 4200 elite on mine, but im not required to take a ton of long range shots as it appears you are. a good 4x16 or 4x14 or something like that should be gods plenty for your requirements. i would site something like that in at something in the neighborhood of 2-2.5" high at 100yds also. mine is dead on at 100. if you want to be dead on at 300 with the .264 you can sight in at 3.6" high at a 100 and you would be right there at 300
