I have a savage M111 Long Action. A Simmons Aetec 2-10x44 scope. The scope is too short for regular mounts. I need help to find the right mounts. CAN ANYONE HELP. THANKS

Buy the twist in Leupolds that have the extension on them.  Not a good description, but I don't know the proper name for them.  Essentiall they twist into the base and then they extend out several inches and then they come up to the actual ring.  The extension is part of the ring itself.

Apparently they are just called extension rings.
