I have the below pictured setup and I can't decide on the right optic for it.  I'm don't like Eotechs anymore and need something new.  I liked target shooting with my 3-9x Mark 4 scope, but always had a hard time seeing the reticle on the scope on a black target.

I go shooting about once every 3 months, generally at 100 yards and bring it back in to 50 and 25.  I like clanging the plates at 300/200 yards, but don't plan on setting up targets.

Should I throw in the towel on the magnification and just go with the Aimpoint?  I already have a Larue 30mm mount ready to go, though.

Needs:
Lighted reticle that will show in the day/sunlight.
Decent accuracy at 100 yards
Consistent eye relief
Small size for SBR

Choices:
1.  Aimpoint C3 2MOA w/QRP mount
2.  Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x w/German #4 and green dot
3.  Acog or other?

I can save about $400 between the Aimpoint and Trijicon, but I won't have 4x magnification

I have ruled out the following:
1.  Millet DMS- too bulky, not clear enough
2.  Leupold Mark 4 1.5-4- want a lighted reticle visible in sunlight

I don't see how to edit.  Also, this is my ONLY AR now.  I have sold off all my other ones, so this really will be an all purpose reticle.

Depressing...

Have you considered the Aimpoint Micro's (H1 / T1) or the FastFire/ JPPoint-type mini red dots?

Very light and makes your SBR more manueverable, especially if you like dynamic shooting.  My H1 is mounted on my 14.5.

I'd go with the trijicon, good reticles, no batteries, good out to 300+ yards, pretty fast on target.

Aimpoint is almost never a bad choice.  It will do what you want it to do and is easier to get behind than anything with fixed eye relief.
