Hello allBig Smile . I have been trying to find a new low power scope for a .308 rifle. I want to keep the rifle short & light. I have a Marlin1894 in .357 I might try it on that also. Here is the top two I am looking at.
Pentax Gameseeker 1.75-5X20
Weaver classic V 1-3X20
I might like a little more then 3 power
I have seen a Brunton Echo 1.5-5X20 for $50 a  great price (I think) but can't find anything about them.
You must see this kind of post a lot so thanks. Please let me know of anything else. I would like to keep it under $150 ( I know I'm cheap) Again thanks.

Pentax is nice for the money...
Maybe look at the Vortex Crossfire or even the Nikon Team Primos for a few extra dollars get a free jacket and about 2.5x the product for the price tag of $50 more.
Maybe even look at the Nikko Stirling they are a great value for few $$'s

I mount a see through type on that Marlin 1894 rifle. The old Redfield with the post reticle 1.5-4 power is a sweet set up I have on My 44mag Marlin that is short and perfect for walking in the woods.

The Vortex scopes look very nice with a impressive warranty. I had not heard of them before, thanks. I didn't say it in my first post but I would like to keep the size at or under. 10" long and 12 OZ. short and light.
I still can't find much on Brunton scopes. I guess in this case no news is bad news.

The weaver v3 1-3x20 is perfect for the marlin, you may also consider a straight 4x scope.
