I have a Savage 10 FP that I'm wanting to use for some long range (up to 1000 yds). I'm thinking along the line of a SWFA SS 10 or 12 x 42. Or how would the Nikon M-308 stack up to the SS in quality, ease of use and value to the SS? I Have a EGW 20 moa mount coming from SWFA later this week. Which scope would you choose? I appreciate any help.

If you're just using it for benchrest, you might consider the 16x. If you want to have some versatility, you might consider upping your price point to get the 3-15x42. Just my opinion - worth what you paid for it. Welcome to the OT.
