I have a 3.08 tatical rifle with a 20 round mag capacity. I'm lookin' for a tatical scope that is efficient at up to 300 to 400 yards, as well as a high durabililty rate. I am specifically lookin' for a scope that has the flip tabs to cover the front and back glass of the scope. I am willin' to pay the money for a nice scope.

If 300 - 400 yards is all you are gonna shoot with your .308, grab a SS 3x9x42 with a set of butler creek caps and don't look any further.  All around great scope.

Hey, we were all N00bs at some point. Howdy
But I second the above post - SS 3-9x42 is a great scope for the money and can't be beat for less than twice the price.

Are you planning on punching paper, hunting?  Makes  a difference in what will be recommended in some ways.

The SS 10xHD, or the SS 3-9 are both greats scopes.  They will both give you great durability and reliability without breaking the bank.
