We got this in this week and the lower is a Sharps-15, Mil-Spec from The Sharps Rifle Company but I do not know who made the upper.  It could have been The Sharps Rifle Company but I cannot find any reference material to verify.

As you know, I'm not much into AR-type rifles, but I LIKE the looks of that...

RGUNS were selling the Sharp low receivers at one time. Very mixed reveiws on Sharp .

I would check trigger pull for starters, take it to the range for function and accuracy testing, because that is where it counts for me.....I would never buy on looks alone!

PS: Chris I sent you a pm with some info that may or may not help.

Possibly sound advice for someone... the only I've ever purchased just because of the way it looks was my Corvette... and that turned out EXTREMELY well.
I think a quick look across the internet would show that just about anything that is being sold today has "very mixed reviews".  "God is great, beer is good, people are crazy..."  While I won't buy a rifle just because of the way it looks... I am very unlikely to buy one that I don't like the way it looks.  I also happen to like the 300 Blackout specs.  It is "interesting" to me... unlike anything in 5.56/.223.

Look inside the upper and on the bolt for a single letter stamp. C -Colt, B -Bushmaster R -Rock River and so on. This isnt real reliable but uppers are hard to identify anyway. Many aren't stamped and that leaves for frustration. I have seen some bolts and uppers stamped but not all that many. Good Luck!!

According to some post from Sharp's own forum that used to be on ar15.com their supplier did not produce a batch of 500 uppers to their spec and they had to go to court over it and in the settlement the supplier was allowed to sell those uppers as seconds.  Rguns was selling them for close to $50.

There were some good uppers made and some complete rifles.  The complete rifles are pretty rare and we are hoping that the one we have is a factory built complete rifle.  From what I can find they used 5R rifling on all of their barrels so there is a good chance this one is on of the few complete rifles.
