first let me say that i am new to optics talk-i have been waiting in the wings as a guest reading & have learned alot.

i am in need of a new scope for a rem 721 3006 that i am rebuilding & it will be my main hunting rifle ( that is until i find another little lost rifle that is in need of a new home) & have narrowed my choice down to either a zeiss or a kahles also have not made up my mind if going mid priced or top shelf in these two brands, i have had a chance to compare various scopes @ a new Gander Mountain that was recently build in my home town & these two seem the best to me, swarovski is also top shelf but over priced in my opinon.

also i am looking into some new binos & i really like the kahles, zeiss & the leica, by what i have seen on hunting programs (that were not a paid ad) & in magazines i looked @ what the hunter & guide carried & most used either zeiss or leica- any info will help -thanks.

Another vote for Swarovski American Light Weight 1" and any binocular Leica makes (especially the Ultravid).

Yeah, I would check out the Swarovski 3-10x42 off the Sample List.   You'd save a few bucks and be right in line with what you'd spend on a Zeiss Conquest or the Kahles which are both good scopes, but I think the Swarovski is the way to go!

longshotz, jsut wondering why you would recommend the PH, the A line is jsut as claer, and wont be as bulky.

Recoiling eye piece and improved reticle spring system......maybe.

Pro-Hunters are the best but you do pay for it.  A-Line is the best value in high end scopes for sure.
