I specifically DID NOT watch one second of any news coverage yesterday ( with the exception of seeing Teddy being hoisted into an ambulance...Get Your Popcorn Ready ).

LATER, my wife watched some sound bites from Obama while I said: " Push that MUTE button!  I don't want to listen to his crap! "............well, I heard a few seconds of sound bites!!   Bashing the old administration ( like he was still CAMPAIGNING! ) blah....blah.....nuthin' new or profound there.........[speechwriters write the stuff anyway so nothing is really Genuine.....]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does anyone remember Reagan or the Bushes bashing the former administration during their Inaugeration??----or did they merely expound on their own future plans???

I didn't watch any news, either.  However, I did hear about Obama's speech on the radio (Bill Bennett) this morning.  No, I don't recall Bush (I or II) or Reagan doing that.  Pretty sure they have more class.

Did Citibank get any of the TARP funds?  If so, I guess I know where the $8 million donation came from.  I saw part of the extravaganza yesterday at lunch.  I ate at a local Mexican place that had their big screen TV on some latino channel.  It sounded like Menudo covering the BET network.  Let the redistribution of wealth begin.  I can see already that this administration is going to really and truly feel for the plight of the average TAX PAYING american - just not too much.

I'm NOT an Obama supporter in any way, shape or form!  I did watch yesterday with a sense of pride at how our country hands over the keys in such a peaceful manner.  I hope and pray that Obama does a great job, because we need him to!  The fact of the matter is that Gee Dubba had the keys when I lost my job as well as Trigger and all the rest.  I don't feel either party shares my views!  We need true bi-partisan thinking to turn this country around.

I hope and pray that we who cling to the 2nd amendment are strong enough to keep the gun control freaks at bay!  But we do need changes made in Washington!  My wife's hospital just announced plans to lay-off hundreds of folks.  People who had GREAT jobs which paid taxes and helped make this local economy tick.  This was a direct result of all the people who can't afford healthcare.  The hosipital can't/won't turn them away and so they are in financial trouble.  The executive team is also taking a voluntary 10% decrease in salary, something the f**ktards in the banking industy should take note of!

I am college educated, but no where near smart enough to understand all the facts that have created the situation we now live in, but we all need to get involved and try to make this a better country!  In the words of JFK, "Ask not what your country can do for you , But what can I do for my country!

But the news media insist that it is fair and impartial, if you don't believe it, just ask them and listen to their report.
I realized many years ago that the news media had been taken over by liberals. They hide behind the First Amendment while they destroy the rest of the Constitution and the Nation. When was the last time you heard a news story that just reported the facts and did not have some sort of comment on the story?

In my opinion, it is the reasonable, hard working, idealistic folks who still believe in the Mr. Smith Goes To Washington stuff that the Government exploits and bullsh*ts the most.  You can believe in all of that Leave It To Beaver stuff if you want to.....and that's all fine and admirable!!......but it ain't gonna happen..............

.....this isn't an argument with Tip....it's just my jaundiced opinion about how things really work in this country.....
