Anyone have a review on this one.
I bought an Endurance 30 a couple of years ago and i am very happy with it. For the price and the comparrison with other scopes at twice the cost it has held it's own.
I just bought a Hawke digi nite eye, which is $100 cheaper, but I was told by a cs rep that it had the same glass. WRONG! It is no where near as clear as the Endurance and the scope shadow is awful along with the eye relief 2" tops. It is not really usable above 9 magnification even with the side parallax adjustment. The only things that I can say are good about the scope, are that it has more range of adjustment for the IR, and an auto shut off feature that will save me a lot of $ over the life of the scope because I cannot remember to turn it off after shooting a coyote. I am going to use this scope for a while until I save enough for something much better.

I was interested in thoughts about the Frontier because I have that the features that I want on a scope are all there.  The price is about $300.00 less than the viper pst. Illumination clarity and brightness are the most important factors for me because I do a lot of night hunting.

let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Mark

I have the Sidewinder Tactical and I love the clarity and light gathering that it shows. Great scope for the money.

From what I've seen on the website, the Endurance does have the same glass as the Sidewinder. So I would very much recommend it. I think the main differences between the two are the turrets and the side focus parallax adjustment. Other than that I'm sure the glass is the same. The Sidewinder and the Endurance seem to be their best scopes.

....Wait....I don't think I read what you typed up there? Are you interested in the Frontier or the Endurance. They don't make a Frontier scope, only a Frontier binocular.

Yeah, I finally figured that out.  They used to make one but discontinued it when manufacturing went to China.  Anyway I sent the nite eye back and we figured out that in order for me to focus the reticle that I had the eye piece turned all the way out.  That wouldn't allow the parallax to focus the target completely.
We talked about trading up, but because I had mounted it there was going to be a 25% restocking fee,  because he would have to sell it as used.  I was at my first job and was feeling a little mad about the deal so I told him just to send it back to me and I would sell it myself.

After I finished the first job of the day I decided to call back and ask a few more questions.  We talked a little bit and I got around to asking why there was such a big restocking fee. He said that because I had mounted the scope he couldn't sell it as new and it would have to go in the scratch and dent section.  Then the light bulb went on in my head.  I asked if they sold the scratch and dents and he said yes.  "do you have anything in one of the models that I want?"  He checked and they had an eclipse 30 with a side parallax and mil dot reticle that only the middle dot lit up. "bingo" The price difference was only $30.00. He sent it out today.  I guess it ended up good afterall.

One thing i have to say that I had to make all of the calls and emails to find out if they had recieved the scope when I sent it in. Then I had to call and email again to find out if the scope was broken or not.  With all of this I will be very lucky to get this set up for my trip out west by the end of next week.
