Thank you, Mr. Koshkin. I'm new here and am caught up in the (for me) bewildering decision of Conquest vs. Swarovski vs. Kahles vs. Leupold for my first "nice" scope. At 50+ my eyesight is not as it was and I have a m70 Classic that can shoot much farther than I can see well. I had sadly decided against one of the new VX-3 scopes until I read your great review. Now I suppose it's back in the running. The only "decent" scope I've ever owned is an old surplus Hensoldt in a G3 claw mount. This looks to be a fine place to lurk and learn!

Welcome to the OT!

As far as your choice goes, you should post a question in the general forum.  Generally speaking, if you are looking at Swarovski and Kahles, than VX3 is really not in the same league.  It is a fine scope in its own right, but not in the Swaro/Kahles territory.

Well crap.. I had this review bookmarked in hopes that the Hawke would be the next choice for my AR .223 .  Now the scope is no longer listed on SWFA.  Oh well, the review was just as good 2nd time around.

Fantastic review Ilya. Excellent  

Having read very few reviews of optics before joining this site, I have to say I very much enjoy reading your reviews of optics.  I don't think you give a biased opinion on your reviews at all.  You state it just as it is and from what I have read, you recommend optics that you would spend your own money on.

To me that far outweighs any propaganda that the manufacturers put out there.
