I saw a rather positive review of the Hawke Endurance 1.24-4.5, but none on the Burris Euro Diamond 1-4x (non illuminated), so what are the observations? The Burris is discontinued, but the Hawke is current. The Hawke is less $, but has the illuminated reticle vs the non-illuminated Burris. Both are 30mm tube, both seem to have decent eye relief and FOV, similar size and weight....the Hawke is less $ than the Burris that I've found. Woods hunting and the target range will be the primary use, most likely on a Ruger Gunsite Scout .308.

Currently I have Leupold VX-II 1-4x, Leupold VX-III 1.5-5x, Nikon Slughunter 1.65-5x, and an older Bushnell Scopechief 1.5-4.5x. The Nikon has the most eye relief but narrowest FOV.
