I have a question. Anyone use the 12-25in swivel series? I was thinking of using 9-13 but I might get into shooting sitting. Will the 12-25 still allow decent prone shooting? And the next one will be where can I find them the cheapest. It'd be the HB25-S series.

What are you going to use it for, hunting, targets, both, etc.?

IMHO the 12-25s is outstanding for hunting and works well while sitting. Prone position, probably not. I usually use my day pack for a rest when in that position to take "the shot". This is the size Harris Bipod I use for hunting.

I also have the 6-9" for target/range shooting and it works well for prone position.

I think using the 9-13 for shooting while sitting sitting may not be the best choice unless your a very short person as you'd probably be hunched over making for an uncomfortable shot. In prone position it should work.

Im getting the bipods strictly for hunting, but will use them at the range. I figured that the 12 would be a little awkward for prone, but still very possible, especially if they rest at a lower angle than your body. I figured that 12-25 would be high enough to get you out of most grass.

If you have grass like we do out west, the 12-25 will server you well. Get the "s" model (swivel).  Thunbs Up

Oh I'm without a doubt getting the S model, regardless of height. Now where would be the best place to start looking for them for cheap?

Mike get into position that you would normally shoot in. then have someone use a ruler or tape measure and see what height your at and get the harris that fits then.  I also recommend the swivel and also the notched legs.  they can come in handy quite a bit too.
