Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has experience using a Harris bipod and the adjustable buttstock rest they sell as a rest for sighting in at the range.  I'm looking for a good steady rest and this seemed like a pretty slick system the way the bipod and buttstock rest attach to the sling mounts.  Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Both work extremely well. Get the Harris with the tilt feature even though it costs more, combined with the bench legs makes a good all around set up.

I agree with Dale.   Been using one for years (I have no experience with the buttstock peice you talk about), but the bipod is great.

How bout any of you guys at SWFA? The buttstock rest I was refering to is the accushot monopod. I was thinking about one of these and a Harris bipod for sighting in and range shooting. What height bipod would be best? 6-9 or 9-13? Thanks!

The Accushot works very well (almost like cheating).  The Harris 6-9 is the way to go, the 9-13 is just too much for bench work.

I have used the Harris bipod for years and I think they are great. But when it really comes down to it... Sand bags work the best in my opinion. I love using my bipod when I am hunting and calling crows and shooting them from about 150-200 yards off the tool box.

Really, when I want to sit down and really do some serious group shooting...I like to use sand bags.
