I've got some Talley Lightweight's that I'm going to install and I don't want to spend a hundred dollars on a torque screwdriver.  Do you think I would run into any problems with just hand tightening the base/rings?

The "right" answer is get a torque wrench, cheap skate!!!!!!

But, I use the Badger Ord. instructions on my rings without a torque wrench......

I'd use a little more caution when tightening those aluminum rings though.
