went to a gun show today thinking that most people would  be fishing on the first day of trout season or doing the honey-dew list with it being such a nice day,boy I was wrong.People were there grabbing up ammo, primers, powder and guns mostly semi's and military rifles. The prices on sporting arms were out of this world. One dealer said he can't even fill some of his orders for firearms because the companies aren't uping production. Also a lot of the dealers were limiting the ammo and primers to two boxes. It's really scary

I think it's generally a good thing. It's pretty politically based, I'm sure.
I would actually be a lot more worried if everyone were wandering around like zombies or  Democrats, happy and secure that all is right and well in their Post-Republican world!

At least a lot of people know better.
I am pretty well stocked, but I do wish I had even more ammo. But then again, who here among us doesn't?

Where were these folks during the election, they voted based on biased network media reports of candidates and issues. Maybe we will get more balance in the next Congressional electionSoap Box

I also went to a show today. The same thing here, but I expected it to be a rush. I was about the 10th person in and made a bee line to the ammo, powder and primers. I hadn't picked up 3 boxes of primers before I was surroundered by eager folk hoping I didn't grab everything on the table. Everything was 10 to 25 dollars more than two months ago. But it was still less than buying online with shipping. He only had one powder type I needed and the only large pistol primers he had were magnum. I bought a box anyway cause I don't know when or if I will find any standard. I really feel like this is going to get better at some point, but it does feel good (for the moment) to know I have some loading stuff. After spending just under 300.00 on primers and powder I looked over the arms displays. Alot of AR's, AK's and vintage mil rifles. All priced to the max, but suprisingly I saw more of the older stuff being carried out and I don't think I saw any AR's sold today. They were priced from 995.00 and up. I saw a couple of 20in. .223 uppers priced around 600.00, but they stayed on the table as well. The biggest sellers I saw today was handguns. Pistols and revolvers were going like hot-cakes. That was another thing I noticed, anybody who had ammo for 380, 32, 9mm and 223 had to be sold out by lunch. Most people who found their cal would buy all the vender had. And something I had no use for is wolf ammo, but now it is the only thing available. 1K boxes of 223fmj was bringing 375.00 and up and people were glad to get it. We may be in a resession but people are finding the money to arm themselves. And color don't matter, I helped one older black lady find some 380 ammo for the revolver she had just bought. She said "Yes sir, the neighborhood I live in and the places I go. I'm not lettin them hoods steal my car, or break in my house". She was a hoot, I enjoyed helpin her and some others.
I did get to see a rollen block Bad Bull muzzelloader. It sure was purdy, but I didn't touch. Too rich for my taste at 3850.00. Maybe one day when I grow up I can get me one.
Well guy's, looks like the shows are a good place to find what your lookin. But you better get there early and have your left arm already in the bag. Who knows when this will let up?

In my work takes me to areas away from the bigger city's. In the small towns (90+ miles out) there is plenty of ammunition still available. It is pricey but it can be found even .380 9mm and .40s. Most of the .223 is wolf. had no trouble picking up plenty of 22-250.

It's no surprise about all the ammo shortage, demand is through the roof so companies can charge what they want because right now people are willing to pay.
