I just bought a new 30/06 and i was wanting to put on a nice scope. I have narrowed it down between 3. The price makes a huge difference. So please give me you advice on which one to get. The three choices are... 1. Burris Fullfield II Ballistic Plex 3-9-40 $210,  2. Nikon Pro Staff BDC Reticle 3-9-40 $160,  3. Pentax Gameseeker Percision Plex 3-9-40. $110

Of those mentioned the FFII is the pick of the litter although I am quite impressed by Nikon Monarch series but you have to limit things to what you can afford. I have a couple of $30.   3-9x40 Tasco scopes on rifles until I can afford better, as I cant put thousand dollar scopes on everything. I will say dont buy the Burris variable short mag as a friend had a lot of trouble with his. Also you might look to see if they have a free binocular deal they run that with the FFII scope from time to time.

I may be the odd one out here, but I am not impressed by the Burris FFII 3x9x40.  Not as bright as other scopes I've tried in that price range and not as good of resolution.  I tried a friends thinking maybe I just got a bad one and it was the same.  Recently, I tried a Swift Premium and was quite impressed.  Just my $.02 worth.
