I might be wrong as I do not live in the states.
But I have a feeling that Bill Clinton was the man that made the most gun sales to the public during the last cenury.
If we take a look at AR15 for example, they have been produced since 1960th and had not archived the highest interest amongst civilians.
But after Clintons election the sales of AR rifles rised to it's extreme and the number of producers rised a lot to.

From the rumours I have heard about taxes on ammo and so on it seems like Obama hade decided to beat clinton in rising interest for the gunworld.
Am I wrong or have i got it rigth?

Clinton faced a fragmented shooting industry goup, today Obama has to deal with a more centralized power structure that doesn't need stockholders votes to make fast and immediate political action ATK (alliant, outers, rcbs, weaver, federal, cci) Cerebus (sp) (remington, dpms, bushmaster) Beretta (burris, sako stoeger etc). Holding companys can be good and bad but they usually take care of their own interests to be sure. It will be interesting.

That's something I worry about a little.  What I mean is, that I know a few (traitors) gun owners who voted for B.O. knowing that his election  would make their "collections" more valuable.  I don't think big corporations are above the same thing.
Ruger and Smith and Wesson's past leaders have sold us out in the past...
We need to stay vigilant to keep them on the straight and narrow and make it HURT when they betray us even a little.
 Edited to add:
Yes, I know Bill Ruger's still dead and that S&W have new owners, etc.  I'm just saying....

With big business short term profit usually betrays long term growth. Betrayal of the public is the name of the game. The history they forget is that Traitors rarely rise to prominence in the new world that follows.
