Way cool, Patrick!

Are you doing metal finishes commercially or just as a hobby?  I've considered doing my own anodizing before, but never really got serious enough to really look into it.  Is there much expense involved?

I would be interested in hearing about all the various finishes you apply.

Outstanding!

I wonder how some of the big commercial anodizing companies do the anodized photo-realistic finishes like detailed camo patterns, graphics, etc.  Not talking about film dip, but actual patterns in Type II and III milspec anodizing.

Its vinyl overlays with anodizing each individual layer one at a time I think... I could be wrong though wouldnt be the first time haha... We will be trying 2tone anodization fairly shortly Im assuming

Cool!  Keep us posted on your progress!

Can you anodize aluminum parts if it has other metals attached, or do you have to strip everything down to bare aluminum only?  For example, if you have an aluminum part with steel helicoils installed for screw threads, can you "mask off" the steel areas or any areas of dissimilar metals prior to anodizing, or does it matter?
