Well ladies and gents, in politics, we have no friends. Push enough money and votes their way, they'll sell anyone out.

My guess is this current bill will be passed albeit watered down. With Barry flying the sandy hook family's to capital hill and then them going to each and every senators office the optics of not doing anything... are more than a Washington politician can take.

Be certain the purposed amendments to this bill are coming (AWB, 10 round mag limits, etc.).... remember 1994.

Like I said we are losing the war. The pieces are falling in place weaken the country by printing money to marginalize the dollar. Get as many people on these social programs as possible and indoctrination our youth through our schools. Amnesty for fence jumpers to gain more "minority" votes. All on the way to having an obedient subservient public but, the second amendment is still in the way. They just needed an excuse to start chipping away at the last hurdles... the second and tenth amendments.

Unfortunately, South Dakota also has zero representation of the second amendment rights in Washington. Timmy Johnson clueless in every way - John Thune will fold under "PC" pressure at a drop of an hat - Kristi Noem just another wan-na-be Washington-ite.

Two are CINO's - conservative in name only - the other just a silly hippie.

This pro gun control cancer has spread all the way up here to South Dakota. Just a matter of time before they get everything they want Marxist gun grabbers are represented very well by our spineless politicians here in SD.

Our already overly restrictive/oppressive gun laws are just going to multiply and be dictated by the federal government till there are no firearm rights left... thanks to our a$$ clowns we keep sending to Washington.

This editor has made as much sense as any one I have heard on the gun control issue and even more so on TV... if the gun control nuts would stop interrupting him.

Untreated mental illness is the cause of all of these mass shootings nothing to do with guns... too bad this bill was not filibustered off the senate floor.

Another lost battle in a losing war.

Well, I was asked to leave all three of my so called "Washington representatives" offices that I visited in Rapid city SD this mourning. Because of my questioning of their doing nothing for this states second amendment rights let alone crushing debt and effed up immigration practices etc. nationally.

I am not naive. I know they will do nothing and will never care but, it was kinda fun making their minions very uncomfortable. It just reinforces the fact politicians are among lowest life forms on the planet.

Really, this state should not require any permits to carry what so ever but -
This stupid state will not accept permits for ALL 49 of the other states... http://www.nraila.org/gun-laws/state-laws/south-dakota.aspx

“The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be denied.”

I wish this was true in this state, unfortunately... no substance to it just window dressing.

I would suggest a boycott - by not buying hunting and fishing licenses here in South Dakota(not that the hunting and fishing are worth a damn here anyway - and way over priced) till the state gets their act together on second amendment rights.

A large reason why the fact the hunting and fishing are so sh!tty here in SD. Much like second amendment rights the GF&Ps are dictated by the politics of the day federal PC-ness has won the debate here... too bad. Large numbers of residents/nonresidents not buying hunting and fishing licenses from the horribly mismanaged GF&Ps. Get the hippies out of those slacker PC government jobs.

We used to have over the counter tag sales here but, that went by the way side. Now we have to apply for every thing now that gives the GF&Ps a lot more control for mismanagement and to jack up prices to pay suck a$$ kiss a$$ government workers.

If you want any "bang for your buck" DON'T show up in South Dakota. Your just giving your money to sierra club hippie government workers plus... getting your second amendment rights hassled is no way travel/vacation/recreate.

...Oh well, nothing I can do about it except be really loud and consistent. Those government free loaders are going to know my face/ vehicle/ phone number on sight should be fun. ;)

BTW: I am going to every meeting of PETA/Sierra club/GF&Ps/US forest service I can make it to. Yes, to be loud and consistent since all of these groups are one in the same.
