Mark, Ted is correct.

That sir is a Texas Hunting Products Fish feeder. Works like a deer feeder, but you put it on the dock and it will cast pellets to feed your stockers.

Makes you wonder why the term rural legend isn't used.

Yup, mostly a stereo type...most people outside of Texas think that all of us here are cowboys out on a range herding livestock with pit barbeque every night, then waking every morning to tumbleweeds rolling across the prairie.

Just busting your chops Skylar. I've been to both Dallas & Houston for every Shot Show and Tackle Show that were ever held there. Went to Southfork a few times for bbq's and sales meetings.

I'm 5 hours from that New York. Look at a NY map, I'm located on the southeast corner of Lake Ontario.I can be in Canada in an hour and a half and in the central Adirondacks in about the same. Did I say I hate New York City, I doooooo.

I know, for instance when I'm at Shot or the Tackle Show and someone asks where I'm from and I reply NY I get that look and I know what they are thinking. No doubt about it.

I knew you were! As a card carrying member of SMOKE TEAM 6, you are a BARBEQUE eating machine.

I'll add, you do make some good food with fire.
