Allow me to be more specific, I have a stony point bipod that was given to me and have used it indefinitely. The legs are very flimsy, and I find myself having to repair it quite often. On occasion it even falls off from the rifle. I am no longer willing to deal with the crap that it dishes out to me.

A while ago I concluded that the system was flawed by design, so I never thought it was necessary to purchase a harris bipod. What annoys me the most, is that it comes loose due to the method of mounting. And I thought that a bipod that uses a picatinny base would offer a much more stable foundation. I am thinking that the gg&g bipod will last me a lifetime with trouble free operation. But if stony point bipods are just complete trash, and harris bipods will last with resistance to abuse, I am willing to try it.
