Anyone have a chance to try one of these? Im in the market for a new range/tactical spotter and had seen there was a new Leupy out on the market! The price is right for me since Im starting a new rifle project! Any other reccomendations on spotting scopes would be helpful as will comparisons of the new Leupold 15-30X spotter! Thanks in advance! Grunt Out!

If you are talking about the 12-40, it is awesome. Very easy to use with excellent eye relief. One of our most popular spotting scopes. The compact 10-20x40 and 15-30x50 are great for packing and using with out a tripod. I used a 10-20 this past weekend on a S. Texas whitetail hunt. Field of view, light transmission and eye relief suffer some as a result of its compact size, but its a trade off. If size and packability are not a major concern then the 12-40 is by far the way to go. |
