The VX2 lens system says it has a ' Multicoat system' and the VX 3 has a index matched lens system.
What is the difference?
I am trying to put either a VX 2 3x9 50mm or a VX3 3.5X9 50mm on a 100-150 yard, 30-06 used primarily for pigs and deer in east texas in low light conditions.

"Index Matched" is just their marketing term for an improved lens coating in the VX-III line vs. "Multicoat 4," which was their previous generation coating. The IM coated scopes are optically superior to the previous MC4 scopes. |
