Im looking to put a good varmit scope on each of these rifles.I obviously would like not to spend a fortune as you can spend as much as you want for a scope. Would like 4 X 15 or similar

I wont be doing anything special, no low light application - just want to get the best quality for the dollar. Im looking for that Consumer Reports "best buy" recommendation

I have never seen a side by side comparison of scopes

leopold, nikon, pentax. buris, weaver, redfield, bushnell, others?

Any reccomendations?

Judging by the fast moving small calibers that will be used in good light, I will assume you are target / varmit hunting.  This deduction combined with you not wanting to spend a fortune leads me to suggest.

Browning 5-15x40....$339.95

Burris 4.5-14x42 Fullfield II Ballistic Plex w/FREE 12-24x50 Spotting Scope.....$336.99

Bushnell 5-15x40 Legend.....$169.95

Bushnell 5-15x40 Elite 3200.....$308.99

Leupold 4-12x40 VX-II.....$399.95

Nikon 4.5-14x40 Buckmaster.....$279.95

Weaver 4-16x42 V-16....$289.95

Chris, how good are Browning scopes? I was under an impression that they are made by Bushnell and are pretty much the same as Elite 4200.  Is that correct?  THey use different trademarked names for the coatings.  Are they different than other Bushnell scopes?

Thanks.
Ilya

Chris - thanks for the reply - You are correct -

the 4200 series Bushnell are more expensive than the 3200 but are they worth the extra money - I saw someone reccommend a 4200 6X 24 mil dot. I didnt know browning made scopes.

The Buris web site and the was leaning toward them because of the construction but I think the less expensive ones only have a year warranty.?..
