I am looking at the "factory refurbished" Steiner Nighthunter 10x50 ($499), and the Steiner Senator refurb. 10x50 ($450) or the Steiner Merlin 10x50 ($579). The Merlin is little more than I want to spend and is new. Which is the best optically. What would you buy and why?
Since the Nighthunter and Senator are porros I think they may be better than getting new Pinnacles as they are roof prisms. Am I right?

Chris- As the Nighthunter and Senator are older models are they phase corrected, how good are the lens coatings? Do they have a warranty?
