I assembled my first upper receiver which turned out far better than I could have hoped all because of the quality of the parts. It's a 20" precision..ish range toy and it needs a scope. I'm in the process of collecting parts for the lower so I'm pretty limited on funds. I've narrowed it down to 3 prospects that are in my price range though the Vortex is pushing things to the ragged edge.
I'm leaning towards the SWFA.

You would be happy with the SWFA SS 3-15x42

Can't recommend Vortex enough. Been my go-to brand for years + got lucky with a good deal and snagged Vortex Dimondback 3.5 for half a price. Can't wait to give it a proper test once I go to shooting range!

Did you decide on a scope? I also would get the SS 3-15. I have one and is great bang for the buck.

Great choice. I love mine. The only thing I wish it has was a zero stop. Not a big deal but would have been nice.
