Hi, I am looking to purchase a new binocular in the $1000 price range and think I have narrowed my choices down to either the Maven B1.2 or the Meopta MeoPro Air 10 x 42. Any members here have experience handling and or using these 2 models and if so, what is your opinion of both and which is the best choice for feel in hand, build quality and optical quality? Thanks! Michael in NJ

Not used to Maven but I would say hard to go wrong with the Meopta (I'm a big meopta fan). Scrummy

I like Meopta binoculars. But I don't own any of the models. I borrowed them from my frien who is into photo hunting. I have PROSTAFF P3 10×42 binoculars, which are great for casual observations of objects and practical hunting. You may have heard of the best elk hunting binoculars. These are my PROSTAFF. I'd also love to buy some cool Nikon binoculars that I can use anywhere. I've been to a nature preserve a few times and wanted to observe the local fauna from a great distance. But I didn't have any optics with me. There was a dude there with me, and he had a Nikon. It was the coolest optical stuff I'd ever held in my hands.
