How does this scope compare to the

Vortex Optics 3-15x42 Razor ?

Well !!!
Son wants more power so looking at these , I would like for him to look at the 3 x 10 Swarovski.
I wonder if all these scopes were set at 10 power, would the Swarovski be the sharpest?
 He might even want a

Sightron 6-24x50 SIII ?

That's what happens when I paste.
His friend has a hawk ? he likes but i haven't heard of them. He also is wanting a Night Force SHV 4-14×50. How do all these scopes compare ?
IT appears he wants the scope for a late Christmas present. Since he's been good this year.
Which scope should i get him?
THANKS JAMES

Interesting.

I have a 6-24 but only really use it for range work.

I prefer a 3-12 or similar for hunting. (Unless trying to know over Gophers at distance)

I will list several choices all being good scopes.  The Vortex Razor did not appear to be in stock. SWFA does not carry Nightforce but it's a good scope these all appear to be in stock. I'll pass on the others you mentioned, but any of these will do nicely for him and while my inclination is toward Trijicon the Meopta seems to be a very good choice at a very reasonable price. Personally I would rather have something with a bottom end no higher than 4x and extra points go to anything below that.

Swarovski 2.5-15x44 Z6i 30mm Riflescope $2,699.0

Trijicon 4-24x50 AccuPoint 30mm Rifle Scope $1,371.95 https://www.swfa.com/trijicon-4-24x50-accupoint-30mm-rifle-scope-3.html?___SID=U

That’s gonna be heavy and bulky on a hunting rifle. Probably have a narrow field of view as well. Maybe your hunting wide open terrain and need it though. I personally wish more manufacturers would make some lightweight 1” scopes in the lower magnification ranges. Some 1.5-6 or 2-7 or even a good fixed 4X with illumination.

The Tract Toric will likely be the clearest with its German Schott glass and if you have a law enforcement or military friend or relative to buy it saves you 15% off and they do go on sale for 10% off once in a while. I have my second Tract Toric inbound right now and they punch WAY above their price point and recently did a side by side with my Athlon Cronus BTR and Nightforce NX8 and the Tract came out the winner in the glass department.

You want to save some serious cash for a HAWKE that normally sells for $500 and spend $140 shipped for it? From the same factory in CHINA under a different brand label. Pretty darn good not having to pay close to 4x the price.

It's one of the better ones.
Here is the Hawke branded version.

And the other brand made in the same factory selling for WAY cheaper.

Don't knock the cheap sub $150 price. This one has glass comparable to if not better than the Vortex Strike Eagle believe it or not.

If the kid is wanting a Chinese made Hawke and fact is all Hawke scopes are made in China then the expectation isn't that high. The mid level $500 on up are decent but are in fact priced too high for what they are at least double for what you actually get compared to other scopes made in China with USA brand labels such as Burris and Athlon and Vortex and Bushnell and so on.

The Tract brand is the only brand that's really worth paying full price for what you really get IMHO. They are made in Japan and no middle man so no added mark ups.

A happy medium is the SWFA SS 3-15x42 I have many of them in FFP and the older SFP they are OK for the money tracts perfect and very repeatable if clicking is his thing. Made in JAPAN and are tough like Leupolds very unlikely to go back for warranty.  Only negative I noticed lately is the glass seems to be lacking for a Japan made scope compared to other modern day scope offerings including scopes made in China.
