Hello all, I recently purchased a CZ Bren 2 and im looking to put a 3x ACOG on it. However they have two options and without the ability to compare them in person, im hoping you can help me.

Im looking at the 3x24 (TA50-C-400232) or the 3x30 (TA33-C-400135).

The 3x24 has a wider FOV (26' at 100yd) but a shorter eye relief (1.4"). It also isnt available with the chevron reticle meaning you have to make due with a 2 MOA red dot in a horseshoe. Another advantage is this optic is available at two heights allowing for a lower bore axis.

The 3x30 has one of the best eye reliefs (2") available from Trijicon but also one of the narrowest FOV at 19' at 100yd. This optic does have the chevron reticle which I like for a bit more precision but the optic doesnt have a low option for height.

your thoughts?

Thank you
-matt

I've used, and like, both of these optics... I'm not bothered by the eye relief and don't mind the red dot on the x24, however, I do like the chevron on the x30 better.  I did not find FOV a problem.  Pick one, spend some time with it, you'll get used to it.

thanks for the response!

I think ive settled on the 3x24 because the reticle is set up for 55gr ammunition which is what i will primarily use. I like the idea of the horseshoe sight from a practical perspective and use similar sights for short range hunting.

now i just need to decide if i want the high optic or the low optic. this will also be a matter of what mount i use.

Trijicon compact quick release ACOG mount (low).. I've found quite suitable.  SWFA has them at a great price.

Did you end up picking up the 3x24 ACOG?

I used to have that one years ago, but ended up selling it. The eye relief was tighter than I liked.
