Lynn, here is a print by Loates that I bought about 40 years ago called Whitetails in Winter. Still one of my favourites, hanging in my rec room. Big print about 35x24, photo doesn’t do justice to the subtle colours.

😂
I like it, very detailed, the colors accent the wintery conditions perfectly.

So many great artists. I mentioned Mort Solberg to Dan in a post. Probably my favourite. His style combines photo realism with abstraction that I really like. Here’s a couple of examples, unfortunately the file size cap screws with the resolution.

Very cool Craig, I like what he does with the back grounds to tie it all together.

Craig, while I don't remember that picture, that does look like the style I remember.

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Lynn, if you google “Loates grizzly” you should see the picture. Prints are still available.

Wow, what a lovely picture! I love all minimalist styles! You won't believe it, but I've entered by mistake an antique shop in Melbourne the other day and found a similar one. Not sure who the author is, though. There is a family of deers, and it is black and white just like yours. Except it is not for the wintertime. I decided to make it in acyrlic prints as a gift for my Suzane. She's is my oldest daughter and she is crazy about wild animals, especially about deers. I think it is clear why, Bambi was her favorite cartoon.
