I have loaded exclusively on a Forster Co-Ax for many many years. Recently picked up a lee loadmaster 223 package to volume load some. Setting it up as instructed. Running into a problem with the FLS die/operation. Installed in the Lee Loadmaster station 1 the cases stick in the die. I've lubed them and adjusted the die numerous times but always sticks. I did remove the die and installed into my Co-Ax and it works fine making me think its not the die but an adjustment issue. I'm tightening down all the way to contact the shellplate and then no more than 1/4" turn as directed.
Any clue why it continues to stick using in the lee but not the co-ax? |

I have what appears to be the same setup... I followed a Youtube video setup... ran a "checkout" set of 20 rounds with no issues... no help, I know... all I can say is contact Lee.

I like Lee kit. I regularly load .223 Rem, 257 Roberts, 7x64, 9.3x62 and 44 mag on a lee turret press and lee dies. Find them good and far more trouble with RCBS Scrummy

I run a single stage RCBS Rockchucker and a Dillon 650. For 223 I do my case prep single stage usually beat the primers out with a Lee primer rod and acrylic mallet or use lee universal de-prime, then resize the case. Then primer pocket swagger cut the chamfer primer pocket, and usea primer pocket uniformer & spinning wire brush to clean the primer pocket trim and install the primer and use Makron primer sealer. Only after the case is primed are ready to load does it go into the Dillon.
You should be able to feel the fit and know if brass is binding in the shellholder plate. Perhaps the center of the shell holder case holder is not the exact center of the die. A couple thousandths can make a difference. In this market I would be hesitant to send the plate unless I knew where I could get another one. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1013016152?pid=618843 read the negative reviews for tips

Could you try another shell holder? Might be a quick elimination?

I've decided I am going to swap out the dies with some blackout dies and see if i can just use it to load that. Thinking it will work given its less "force".
I'll order a Dillon when prices, if ever, come down to bulk load 223 if needed.
